Carabao Cup final
The Carabao Cup semi finals were played between Aston Villa – Leicester City and Manchester City – Manchester United, a bonus derby.
Manchester derby
Last night the return match between the two clubs from Manchester was played in the Etihad Stadium. Nemanja Matic was given a red card in the 76th minute, but despite of that the Citizens weren’t able to win the match. Unfortunately for Solksjaer’s Manchester United, the 0-1 win wasn’t enough to make it to the final, after the Red Devils had lost their first match 1-3.
Aston Villa is the first finalist in the Carabao Cup, after their last-minute win (90+3) against Leicester City last Tuesday (2-1).
The final will be played between Aston Villa and Manchester City, 3 March at Wembley.
